About

Emarat Wiki is a multilingual, source-backed encyclopedia of the United Arab Emirates. It covers the seven emirates, UAE history, geography, government, economy, society, culture, education, science, healthcare, tourism, transport, environment, arts, sport, people, organisations and travel — including how people living in the UAE travel within the country, across the Middle East, and to Jordan.

What makes this encyclopedia different

  • Sources first. Every article carries its sources with publisher, publication date and access date, and flags primary/official sources where they exist.
  • Original writing. Content is researched from multiple authoritative sources and written as original encyclopedia prose. We do not republish large passages from other websites.
  • Editorial workflow. Drafts move through research, fact-check and review before publication, and each article shows when it was last reviewed.
  • Multilingual by design. The whole site is published in English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, with each language version independently editable and reviewable.
  • Honest labelling. Facts, statistics, analysis, travel guidance and opinion are distinguished from one another rather than blended.

Scope and growth

The platform is built to grow from its current corpus to tens of thousands of articles without changing its architecture. Articles about travel and regional connections use the same article, source, translation and editorial infrastructure as the core UAE encyclopedia — they are not a separate publication.

Ownership and control

The site, its database, its content, its media and its backups are managed through this CMS by its owner. Routine administration — adding articles, translating them, managing sources and media, reviewing revisions and restoring backups — requires no developer involvement.
